Maryam Abedi, Ph.D, M.F.T., B.C.B.A-D.
Clinical Director/President

Dr. Maryam Abedi is the founder and Clinical Director of Advancement for Behavioral
and Educational Development & Intervention
(ABEDI), Inc.

She is a board certified Behavior Analyst (B.C.B.A.-D.)
and a licensed Marriage Family Therapist (M.F.T.).











Dr. Abedi has over 30 years of experience in the management
of services for people with complex behavior challenges
as well as providing behavior consultation and training.
She spends much of her time consulting with families of individuals with developmental disabilities, schools, residential facilities,
and adult foster family agencies. In addition, Dr. Abedi has conducted various seminars and workshops on the topics of non-aversive
behavior management strategies and staff development,
both locally and nationally.

Linda Seppala, M.S.

Director of Client Services

Linda has 25+ years experience providing community integrated and employment services to persons
with developmental disabilities, including those
that also experience behavior challenges.


Overall, her experiences include directing behavior
management day services, teaching job development strategies
to professionals and providing leadership in organizations that
are committed to improving the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities. Linda is instrumental in the success
of several national corporate commitments to employ persons
with disabilities in real jobs.

She holds a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology
and a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison.

 


Julia Shaull, L.C.S.W., B.C.B.A.

Senior Clinical Consultant

Julia is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and
a board certified Behavior Analyst. She is
the co-author of The Periodic Service Review:
A total quality assurance system for human services and education, as well as competency based staff training programs.

Julia has been working to improve the quality of life for people
with developmental disabilities throughout her career.

Her experiences include clinical, administrative, leadership, staff training, parent education and organizational behavior management. Julia has worked in schools, homes and communities with pre-school to adult clients and their support teams.

She developed a day training service for adults, from an idea to a service for hundreds of people in a multi-county area. She is certified in Pivotal Response Training through the Koegel Autism Center.


 



Dina Gordillo, M.P.S., B.C.B.A.

Clinical Supervisor

Dina is a board certified Behavior Analyst.
She has over 14 years experience working
with individuals with developmental disabilities.


Dina has in depth experience with educational and behavioral
programming issues within the school setting. Dina earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of California
Los Angeles and her Master's degree in Professional Studies
at Stony Brook University. She is a member of various associations including the UCLA Alumni Association and ABA International. Dina is an avid volunteer and has served as project leader, committee chair and task captain for a number of volunteer projects.

Dina's professional interests lie in staff development and training, organizational behavior management, client advocacy issues and advancing the use of ABA as a self-management tool.


 



Stacie Alexander, M.A., BICM.


C.P.I. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Trainer

For over 15 years, Stacie has worked with children of all ages as a Mental Health Professional, Special Education Teacher, Mentor,
University Lecturer, Behavior Specialist,
and Independent Consultant. 



       
Stacie trains ABEDI staff and parents in C.P.I.’s Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. She is also a Behavior Consultant.

Stacie holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and a K-12 Education Specialist Credential from California State University,
Long Beach; a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University; and an Administrative Credential from the California Department of Education. 

She has also received certification as a Behavior Intervention
Case Manager (BICM).
